This project is a collaborative effort among La Maison Interiors, Mariani Landscape and us. The client purchased a suburban spec house and proceeded to upgrade the interior to his taste. The interior became more refined as a consequence and the exterior started to fall behind the standards set by the interior. We were asked to refine the exterior. We upgraded the materials and changed some of the details. The faux materials were replaced with real stone, copper and slate materials. The brick veneer was “aged” using a staining process. Mariani came in to screen the house from the street and create private gardens behind that screen.
